"The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru is matured in one-third new oak. There's a bit more reduction at play here, though that does preclude the fruit intensity underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with a softer texture than Colin's other cuvées, red apple mixed with peach skin and orange pith, just a little oaky on the finish at the moment. I prefer the Les Vergers this year." -NM 01/2024
