History of Tuscany

October 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$100

Tuscany has a complex history with quality winemaking. On the one hand, the region has become known as the home of millions of gallons of plonk, cheap white and red wines sold in bulk, or squat straw covered bottles, to appease a global mass of Italian wine drinkers. But Tuscany is also home to some of the greatest wines in the world, all of which have a fascinating history that mirrors that of wine and wine appreciation more broadly. Join us as we explore how great Tuscan wine has evolved over the centuries, and also how a great bottle of Tuscan wine might evolve over a few decades. The following wines will be poured:

Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia 2015

Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia 1995

Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino 2012

Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino 1999

Ornellaia Bolgheri Superiore 2014

Ornellaia Bolgheri Superiore 1999
