We love Riesling for being beautifully transparent of its soils, deeply communicating a sense of place through a variety of styles. Using that spirit of discovery, Wheeling Forward has hosted two walk around Riesling grand tastings with a third planned for this August. On April 25th, however, Wheeling Forward will be hosting a more intimate, sit-down tasting seminar at Le Du’s Wines. This seminar will focus on exploring various dry Rieslings from top single-vineyard sites of outstanding producers in New York, Oregon, Germany, Austria and Alsace. The seminar will be hosted by Justin Christoph, who has been traveling to and importing the wines of Germany, Austria, and Alsace for over a decade.
Tickets are $45 and 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Wheeling Forward.
The following wines will be enjoyed:
Barry Family Cellars Sheldrake Point Vineyard Riesling 2014, Finger Lakes New York.
Brooks Orchard Fold Vineyard Riesling 2015, Eola-Amity Hills Oregon.
Immich Batterieberg Escheburg Riesling 2015, Mosel Germany.
Von Winning Deidesheimer Paradiesgarten Riesling Trocken 2013, Pfalz Germany.
