"Antichi Vigneti Di Cantalupo The company, which is property of Arlunno family, has been producing wine since the first years of ‘600. Nowadays, the Ghemme (Doc since 1969) is undoubtedly the most representative wine. It is produced with Nebbiolo grape, locally referred to as “Sp anna”, word of Latin origin, which already Plinio called “Spionia”. The soil, as Luigi Nicolini wrote in 1904, is a huge mineral sample of the above Alpine chain, composed of granite cobblestone, porphyry, gravel pebbles, schists, mica schists, coil, flaking of Fenera dolomitic rocks, granodiorite pebbles... The wines of this company, which cultivates also other local varieties, express a unique and unmistakeable character.
