One of the trends we’ve seen in the last 10-15 years are epic Burgundian winemakers starting Beaujolais projects, I suspect where they can make wine free of the tremendous pressure of their family estates. In Beaujolais, they can be free without the weight of each bottles costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
Such is the case with Guillaume Rouget, of very in-demand Domaine Emmanuel Rougeot, who does all of the same things he does with his Pinot Noir (except no oak on his Gamay).
