Dugat-Py Gevrey Chambertin Coeur de Roy 2017
"91-93 Points. 91-93 Points. The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Coeur du Roy continues to show spectacularly, bursting from the glass with aromas of violet, cherries, cassis, subtle grilled meat and espresso roast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied with broader shoulders and more density and structure than the finer-boned Evocelles, its rich tannins nicely cloaked in a core of pure and succulent fruit, concluding with a long finish. While it won't demand as much bottle age as the 2016 or 2015 renditions, it will reward at least a handful of years of bottle age and drink well for two decades thereafter. This cuvée derives from vines between 50 and 108 years of age located in the lieux-dits Epointures, Combe du Dessus, Jouise and Les Marchais.” William Kelley, Wine Advocate
Le Du’s does quite a bit of buying directly in Europe. As a result, we are able to offer older and rare bottles at compelling prices. The listed quantities are confirmed and on their way from France. THIS IS NOT VIRTUAL INVENTORY. We have shipments arriving monthly so your wait time will be anywhere from 4-6 weeks. One of our staff will contact you to confirm your order and let you know when we expect the wines to arrive.
If you have any questions or would like to be included on our Fine & Rare list so you can receive offers on these types of wines before they ever hit the web, contact our General Manager directly at JT@leduwines.com.
