Georges Roumier Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2017
91-93 Points - Vinous Media
The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne had been bottled a week prior to my visit in November, as Christophe Roumier felt that the wine was ready. It has quite an intense bouquet of lime blossom, Japanese yuzu, and touches of brioche. The palate is well balanced, with the fatness one seeks from this Grand Cru, yet quite fresh and vibrant, showing touches of apricot and citrus fruit toward the finish. A really lovely Corton-Charlemagne.
