Luis Pato Quinta Do Riberinho Pe Franco 1999 Magnum
It’s impossible to talk about the history of Bairrada, or indeed the modern history of Portuguese wine, without talking about Luis Pato. The Pato estate was the first to make a wine from the modern appellation of Bairrada, and he has been the main champion and point of ambition for the region for over three decades. The Quinta Ribeirinho Pe Franco is grown on own rooted, pure sandy soils, and is the ultimate expression of Baga from Bairrada. This is one of the great wines of the world and demonstrates everything that is amazing about the wines of coastal Portugal.
