"Since 1955, the Snowdens have farmed their vineyard high above the Napa Valley. In addition to the stunning views of St. Helena, Rutherford and the San Francisco Bay, the estate offers four separate sites producing remarkably complex and individualistic wines. Winemaking duties are in the capable hands of Diana Snowden Seysses.

100% Cabernet Franc; alcohol: 13.8%; single block of Cabernet Franc at 800 feet; grown in Rhyolite (volcanic sand) soils; hand harvested on 9/26/2018; fermented with only native yeasts; malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, 50% new, 50% used; aged 18 months; bottled unfined and unfiltered on 4/13/2020.

A perennial blending component of our Reserve wines of the past, this 2018 is our first major release of a 100% Cabernet Franc and we could not be more delighted with this weightless, sublime beauty! It has intoxicating aromas of violets and juniper berries. On the palate it is seamless, ethereal, and long. It is like fine, transparent silk blowing gently in the wind.
