Susana Esteban Tira o Veu Branco 2021
"Tira o Véu 2019 comes from an exceptional vineyard of more than 85 years, located in the Serra de Sao Mamede at 700 meters of altitude, planted with a mix of traditional grape varieties. It was vinified in amphorae with 30% skin contact until December of the same year when the skins were removed. The wine remained in the amphora until July of the following year. In the spring of 2020 a veil of flor developed on the surface, a phenomenon that rarely happens, and that is more usually found in the production of sherry wines. The nose is intense with nuances of orange peel, giving it a unique complexity that transits in the mouth where we feel the skin maceration in a very subtle and elegant way." -Winery notes
